October 2015 Book Selection

October's book(s), discussion, and activities are for grades 7-12.

To "officially" sign up to participate in this month's discussion and activities, please join the Wiki. Then, post on the Discussion Board under the "Introduce Yourself" thread by 3:00 PM Friday, October 16.
The October book selection is the participants' choice of one of the 2015 Printz Award Winner or Honor Books. Click on any of the links to see these book choices.

Participants are responsible for obtaining a copy of the book.

Participants are expected to:

• Read the assigned book(s) for the month.
• Respond to the discussion questions.
• Repsond to other participants answers in separate posts.
• Create a lesson using the book(s).
• Meet together for 1 hour to further discuss the books and share lesson plans.

Discussions need to be posted and Lessons need to be emailed by 9:00 PM Sunday, October 25. Participants' can share their lessons on Google Docs.

We will meet to discuss the books on Monday, October 26 from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM in the McKinley High School Media Center (Main Campus).
